Mulches
Mulches are sold by the cubic yard and 3 cubic foot bags. One cubic yard of mulch will cover 100 square feet approximately 2 to 3 inches deep.
Mulch is used around plants, trees, flowers, and play areas. Mulch will help to keep moisture in the ground, improve soil quality, and enhance your property.
To Install: Rake area to be mulched, remove debris, pull any existing weeds or spray with herbicide. Install plants, if desired. Install weed fabric (optional). Apply mulch to a depth of 2″ to 3″.

Unground Course Mulch
Unground Course Mulch is a mixture of a course grind of wood and bark. The grind is approximately 4 to 6 inches. Great for banks or for unmaintained areas. Will last 2-3 years.
Econo Mulch
Econo Mulch is a mix of wood and bark. The grind is anywhere from 1″ to 4″. The color is medium to light brown. Will last 1 to 2 years.
Blond Playground Mulch
Blond Playground Mulch is 100 percent wood. It is light yellow in color and will darken as it ages. The grind is ½″ x 2″. Used in playground areas. Will last 1 to 2 years.
Certified Playground Mulch
Certified Playground Mulch is pine wood. It is light yellow in color and darkens as it ages. Will last 1 to 2 years. Most often used on playground areas. May be acidic. Good for acid loving plants.
Double Ground Mulch
60% bark and 40% wood combined. The grind is approximately ½″ x 2″. The color is dark brown and ages to brown and tan. Will last 1 to 2 years.
Triple Ground Mulch
Triple Ground Mulch is 90 percent bark mulch. The grind is ¼″ x 2″. The color is dark brown and ages to mid-brown color. Maintains darkness because of bark. Will last 1 to 2 year if turned.
Fine All Pine Mulch
Fine All Pine Mulch is 100 percent pine. The grind is fine, ¼″ x 2″. The color will darken as it ages. Will last 1-2 years. Acidic—great around acid loving plants.
Hemlock Mulch
Hemlock Mulch is all Hemlock wood. The grind is ½″ x 2″. The color is reddish tan and lightens some with age. Will last 1 to 2 years. Safe for most plants, but may be acidic.
Red Colored Mulch
Red Colored Mulch is an all-wood mulch dyed red. The grind is ½″ x 2″. The color is medium red and ages to a barn red. Will last 1 to 2 years. Safe around all plants; however, some color may bleed
Black Colored Mulch
Black Colored Mulch is an all-wood mulch dyed black. The grind is ½″ x 2″. The color is dark black. Will last 1 to 2 years. Safe around all plants; however, some color may bleed.
Southern Pine Bark Nuggets
Southern Pine Bark Nuggets are all pine bark. The nuggets are 2-5″ diameter. The color is dark brown bark color and doesn't fade. Will last 2-3 years. Safe around all plants.
Hershey's Cocoa Shell Mulch
Hershey's Cocoa Shell Mulch is a by-product of cocoa beans. Cocoa shell mulch slowly decomposes. Cocoa mulch can be used as a mulch for low-acidic plants or as a soil amendment. It serves as a natural deterrent to slugs and snails. And, yes, it does smell like chocolate! MAY HARM ANIMALS IF DIGESTED.
Natural Cedar Mulch
Natural Cedar Mulch is a natural medium-deep brown mulch. Cedar is a natural insect repellant and is naturally aromatic.
Cypress Mulch
Cypress Mulch is a product of North Carolina and/or Florida. Cypress Mulch provides excellent moisture retention and forms a weed resistant mat.
