Topsoil and Soil Additives

Topsoil and soil additives are sold by the cubic yard. Any of our soils can also be purchased in 50 pound bags. One cubic yard covers approximately 100 square feet, 2-3 inches deep. The weight per yard is approximately 2200 pounds.

Mixed Growing Soil is a combination of screened topsoil, mushroom compost, leaf compost, and concrete sand. This soil mixture can be used to top dress a new lawn or it can be used for vegetable gardens or new planting areas.

Screened Topsoil

Screened Topsoil is screened to remove large rocks, sod. and debris down to 1″ square. Screened topsoil can be used to fill holes, raise grade levels of lawns, potting, planting, etc.

Unscreened Topsoil

Unscreened Topsoil

Unscreened Topsoil is fairly clean, but may have some rocks, sod, etc. Unscreened topsoil can be used for fill, patching holes, in gardens, and planters.

Mushroom Compost

Mushroom Compost is a combination of horse manure, sawdust, topsoil and mushroom compost. High in nitrogen and other nutrients. Can be used for lawns, flower beds, amending existing gardens, etc.

Leaf Compost

Leaf Compost is a combination of grass clippings and leaves. This grass/leaf combination is turned several times a week and allowed to compost for 8-10 weeks. The Ph level is 7.0-7.3. Leaf Compost can be used in flower beds, vegetable gardens, to amend clay soils, and as a potting soil in containers.

UAJA (All Grow Compost)

UAJA (All Grow Compost) is a combination of sludge waste and sawdust. Can be used to amend existing soil to enhance productivity.

Peat Moss

Peat Moss

Peat Moss is sold in compressed bales only. Peat moss is genuine 100% spaghnum moss. Peat Moss is a natural, organic, lightweight soil conditioner. Peat Moss is ideal for seeding lawns, restoring lawns, planting trees or shrubs, as a soil amendment, and to loosen clay soils.
